April Hay is a contemporary textile & fashion designer inspired by the unique geology of Scotland. Originally from Aberdeen, but now working from Glasgow, her brand Agate & Ayre marries timeless design with bold colour and textures. Her textiles are printed in the UK using environmentally conscious methods, then sewn into small batch accessories from her home studio - encompassing a zero waste attitude and dedication to supporting other local businesses.
As well as her accessory line, April offers a bespoke fashion commission service loved by everyone from geology graduates to scuba divers. She has also designed two exclusive textiles in collaboration with print on demand company Wattle & Slate. Dressmakers around the world have purchased her fabric designs.
