Growing up in a rural village in the heart of Sutherland, Vhairi Walker has an affinity with the outdoors and her arts practice always has a connection to the wild landscape of Scotland and what it has to offer.
Since graduating from Gray’s School of Art in 2012, she has been lucky enough to work in a large variety of roles, from location scouting to facilitating arts workshops for a range of ages and abilities.
Her work has been included within commission pieces for the local council, which showcased the natural environment and local wildlife and includes commercial commissions for other creatives and makers for marketing purposes and larger oil firms. Working in multiple mediums such as photography, print and digital design, Vhairi’s pieces bring traditions of Scottish life with a modern twist.
Vhairi has recently launched a clothing line, the “Club Logo” collection, made up of over 14 playful designs which were inspired by her adventures with her family over lockdown.
Alongside her artwork work Vhairi offers a range of professional services, these include.
• Small wedding, family and event photography.
• Analog to digital film scanning and image restoration for slides and 35mm film.
• Clothing and merchandise branding for small businesses, charitable organizations and clubs.
