Yasmin Ali is an illustrator and animator based in Scotland, who is very inspired by the work of visual development and games. 

Her most recent interest has been using After Effects to combine animation with her illustrations, making them come alive. Adding this sense of movement gives the illustrations a sense of depth.

Her Bangladeshi heritage has been a huge influence in her work, for it motivates her to deliver an artistic insight on what a different culture is like to a Western audience. Exploring narrative storytelling through lighting and composition, she aims to create pieces that strike feelings within the viewer.

Ali’s work has been featured in international exhibitions located in areas such as Berlin and Hong Kong. She has also been selected as a “Ones to Watch Graduate 2020” by the D&AD, a British Design and Art Direction Organisation.
